Falkland Islands.

February 7th, 2026

We arrived at the Falkland Islands in the morning. They sent the person needing medical care ashore. We had too wait until this person was loaded on an airlift and in the air before we could leave the Port. Eventually we were able to leave.

Falkland Islands

The weather was nice when we got to the Falklands, but by the time we had to leave, the winds picked up and our captain was moving us out as quickly as possible. He said to expect rough seas, so I put my sea sickness patch on.

Since we had to leave so early, all shore excursions were canceled. We had booked an excursion to hang out with the King Penguins. We are a bit bummed.

We headed outside on the deck to see the wildlife on shore as we left. It was mostly Gentoo penguins, but there were also a few King Penguins mixed in. This was our only chance to see the King Penguins.

We returned to our cabin to find a bottle of champagne and some towels folded into animals.

We went to the evening show on the ship and watch the Luxury Dance Company perform Tango and other interpretative dancing. It was interesting. However, there3 was only one Tango. I have reservations for a Tango show in Buenos Aries after the cruise. It will fun to compare.
