Goodbye Lisbon
Today was a really lazy day. We saw Laura off as she had to return home. No plans were made, so we just decided to walk around the neighborhood. Really look at the tiles and architecture. It was lovely!! We also did it all without having to map it!
Anta Bar
Found a great little Portuguese restaurant near Green Street and had the “Chorizo to Hell” (flaming chorizo on a skewer), garlic prawns and white asparagus with lime. It was all very good.
We walked back to the Time Out Market again to get some pasteis. Yum! We got some to eat right a way, and had them pack 6 to take home. They did a great job boxing them up.
Pasteis for now and To Go!
I needed something to wash down the pastei , so I tried a bar here as well. I tried a new gin from Belgium called Panda (seemed appropriate since we drove the Fiat Panda and just spent time with Laura from Belgium). It was pretty good!
Walking back to our Airbnb, we realized that we had not had any white port since we arrived in Portugal. We found a quaint restaurant on Green Street and gave it a try. It tastes like a port. Could have used some cheese to go with it!
Green Street
Green Street, or Rua da Silva, is a charming pedestrian street in Lisbon known for its lush plants, local shops, and cozy restaurants, offering a tranquil escape in the heart of the city.
Principal Restaurant on Green Street.
We eventually got back and started packing. We fly out tomorrow. It has been a great trip!
Goodbye Lisbon!
Our overseas adventures will be on pause until next winter. ….unless something else comes up. You never know….
