Packing

I have been asked to include what I packed for my trips. Here is what I packed for this trip.

I have the Away Bigger Carry-On suitcase with compression packing cubes. This carries most of my items. I also bring a sling backpack for items I want easy access to on the plan and while touring during the day. The sling backpack allows me to easily move it to the front when I need to access something, sit down in a bus/train or simply keep it safe in crowded spaces.

For this trip the weather is forecasted to be in the low 70’s and wet. No short sleeves shirts or shorts! I plan on using layers to keep warm.

I do not pack many clothing items. I plan on doing laundry as we go. Hopefully there will be washing machines available, but I am also good with doing it in the sink if necessary. All my clothing is quick dry for this reason.

We are also attending a wedding, so I will be bringing a sport coat that I will wear on the plane.

Suitcase Items:

Clothing

  • 5 long sleeve shirts (I have Columbia lightweight shirts. They provide protection from the sun and bugs and dry easily)

  • 2 long pants ( I have the Wrangler Terrain Tech pants, they are lightweight, quick dry and have lots of zippers pockets)

  • 1 swim suit (in case I come across a hot tub!)

  • 5 underwear

  • 5 socks

  • 2 undershirts

  • 5 tank shirts

  • Sleep cloths (pjs)

Outerwear

  • Lined rain jacket

  • Fleece vest
